Kanton Basel-Landschaft

As part of the postulate 2019/708 "Fundamental review of the existing state guarantee for BLKB", IFBC was mandated by the financial administration of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft to conduct an evaluation of Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank. Furthermore, IFBC was assigned the task of analyzing and assessing various scenarios of institutional design (including the abolition of the state guarantee, privatization of the bank). The results of IFBC's assessment report served, among other things, as the basis for the report of the government council of the canton of Basel-Landschaft on the postulate. The department of finance of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft is responsible, among other things, for the professional, canton-wide management in the areas of controlling, accounting, financial law, and treasury as well as the management of financial planning processes and reporting.
