IFBC supported Universitäre Psychiatrische Dienste Bern (UPD) throughout the entire transaction process. This included, among others, developing a joint vision including business plan, supporting the determination and negotiating of the purchase price, as well as the transaction execution. Another focus was on supporting the relevant decision-making processes, ensuring the involvement of the UPD stakeholders. UPD is a university hospital and the competence center for psychiatry and psychotherapy in the canton of Bern and neighboring cantons. As one of the most renowned psychiatric hospitals in Switzerland, UPD offers the entire psychiatric care chain from early diagnosis through outpatient, day-care and inpatient treatment to rehabilitation and reintegration of people with mental illness.
