Exclusive Financial Advisor to NORD Holding on the successful sale of Dr. Födisch Group to ABB
On 27 August 2024, NORD Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (NORD Holding), Deutsche Mittelstandsholding für Industriebeteiligung II GmbH & Co. KG, the fund advised by the former and the listed company ABB Ltd (ABB) announced that they had signed an agreement to acquire Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG (Dr. Födisch Group). The current owners of the Dr. Födisch Group, a leading technology group for environmental, process and analytical technology, are selling their stake to ABB. A leader in electrification and automation, Swiss-based ABB will acquire all shares, subject to regulatory approvals. The transaction is expected to be completed before the end of the year 2024. The acquisition enhances ABB's offering in continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) and bolsters its competitiveness in technology and innovation. Through the acquisition, ABB will widen its portfolio to meet customers’ most demanding measurement challenges. Supported by ABB’s global distribution and service network, customers will benefit from a comprehensive suite of solutions that help address the world’s energy and sustainability challenges. ABB is therefore the perfect strategic partner for the Dr. Födisch Group, its employees and its future development.
