Dr. Thomas Vettiger

Dr. Thomas Vettiger is a co-founder of IFBC and has been a Managing Partner and member of the Board of Directors since 1997. Under his leadership, IFBC has become a leading-edge financial advisor in Switzerland and the top address for Corporate Finance and private as well as public M&A transactions. In addition to his work at IFBC, Thomas Vettiger has extensive experience in Corporate Governance. From 2005 to 2015, he was a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of Clientis AG (Swiss Bank), and from 2013 he was also Vice Chairman and led the Audit Committee. Since 2015, he has been a member of the Swiss Takeover Board (TOB), where he helps shape regulatory developments and assessments of public takeovers. In addition, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the listed real estate company Investis AG since 2016 and took over as Chairman in 2021. In the same year, he was also appointed to the Board of Directors of Globalscope. Since 2024 he is member of the Board of Directors at Real Fund Management AG, a Switzerland based real estate developer. At IFBC, Thomas Vettiger is responsible for Corporate Finance and M&A Advisory for domestic and cross-border transactions. He advises large corporations at the management and board level, entrepreneurs, private equity firms and law firms on strategic acquisitions, mergers, company sales, succession and legal disputes resolution. In addition to his advisory work, Thomas Vettiger is a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zurich and gives lectures at universities of applied sciences and in MBA programs. He holds a master's degree from the University of St. Gallen and a doctorate in finance from the University of Zurich.
